Budget Billiards Supply — 30-Day Return Policy

Budget Billiards offers a 30-day return policy to allow customers time to evaluate their purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, we accept returns subject to the conditions below.


How to Start a Return

Contact Us First — Email us at sales [at] budgetcues [dot] com with your order number and a description of the reason for your return.

If the return is due to a defect or incorrect item received, please provide clear photos before shipping anything back. For U.S. orders, if we determine the item qualifies for a Budget Billiards return, we may provide a prepaid return label. For international orders, please see the International Returns section below before shipping.

No RMA Required — Simply include a note with your return stating whether you would like a refund or exchange, along with your name, address, phone number, and order number.

Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return, the item must be in new or nearly new condition, meaning:

  • Minimal bluing on the tip from a few test shots is acceptable.
  • The shaft and ferrule must be clean, free of bluing, scuffing, scratches, or any cleaning attempts.
  • The butt must be free of dings, scratches, or any visible marks.
  • All original accessories (such as wipes) must be unused and included.
  • If the product includes special promotional packaging, it must be returned in like-new condition.

Condition Requirements for All Returns

Budget Billiards reserves the right to void the 30-Day Return Policy on cues and shafts if there is evidence of abuse, mishandling, or excessive wear:

  • Used cues with excessive bluing, shaft discoloration, dings, scratches, or signs of cleaning.
  • Customized or modified cues (e.g., engraving, joint modifications, wrap changes, etc.).
  • Special order and discontinued items.
  • Personalized items or cues with custom-built features (such as non-standard ringwork or joint types).

Cues or shafts that have had a tip change are eligible for return, but the cost of the tip change will not be refunded. An additional $20 fee will be deducted from the refund to restore the cue or shaft to its stock tip.

If an item does not meet the above conditions, the return will be denied, and the item will be sent back to the customer at their expense.


Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs when the return is not due to a product defect or an incorrectly received item. Items must be shipped back with adequate insurance to cover the full value of the product. Budget Billiards Supply is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

If an order was shipped under a “free or flat rate shipping” promotion, our actual shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount. This includes outbound label cost and any insurance purchased.

International Returns
Budget Billiards does not provide prepaid return labels for orders shipped outside the United States. International customers are responsible for return shipping, insurance, customs forms, duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and any other import/export charges related to a return.

Please contact us before shipping any international return. Items must be shipped with tracking and adequate insurance to cover the full value of the product. Budget Billiards is not responsible for items lost, delayed, held by customs, or damaged during return transit.

Used equipment that develops or reveals a defect after more than a few test shots must be handled through the manufacturer’s warranty process. We can assist by providing proof of purchase or directing the customer to the manufacturer, but Budget Billiards does not process warranty returns for used equipment.


Refund Deductions — Installment Plan Purchases

If your purchase was financed through Affirm, Shop Pay Installments, or another financing option, please note that the 7% financing and transaction fees charged to us at time of processing are non-refundable. These fees are charged by the financing provider and disclosed at checkout; they are not recoverable by the merchant. These will be deducted from any refund issued.


High-Value Items (Over $2,000) & Special-Edition Cues

Due to the significant costs associated with credit card processing fees on high-value and special-edition cues, the following additional condition applies to refunds (not exchanges) on any single item priced over $2,000 or any special-edition, limited-run, or numbered cue regardless of price:

Merchant credit card processing fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from any refund. These fees are charged to us by the payment processor at the time of sale and are not returned to us when a refund is issued. The typical processing fee is approximately 2.9% of the order total, unless the purchase was made using Shopify Installments, in which case the fee is approximately 7%.


Returning Damaged or Faulty Merchandise

Damaged Items from Shipping

If your order arrives damaged during transit, please do not accept the package if possible. If you have already accepted it, follow these steps:

  1. Immediately contact the shipping company (e.g., UPS, FedEx) to report the damage.
  2. Save all packaging materials (including padding and boxes) for inspection.
  3. Notify us as soon as possible so we can assist in arranging a replacement.

Defective Equipment After Use

If a product is found to be defective after obvious use that it has been used more than a few shots, it must be returned directly to the manufacturer under their warranty policy. Budget Billiards does not process returns for used equipment, but we can assist in directing you to the manufacturer.


Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Items marked as final sale, clearance, or discontinued at the time of purchase.
  • Returns that do not meet the eligibility criteria above will be sent back to the customer at their expense.
